Anybody hunt around Vernon, TX or up into that part of OK? Heading up there next weekend and don't know the area very well. Wondering specifically about the quality of deer in the area. Thanks.

Go to Meers and eat while you're up that way.

A friend of mine hunts north of Ardmore about 60 miles I think? Im not sure where that is compared to you but he has GIANT free range whitetails. I hate seeing his pictures he sends me every year! LoL They are consistently knocking down 150-175 bucks every year.

I do. I hunt in Jackson county in Oklahoma now. That's north of Vernon. Most of my friends hunt in the area.

Are you hunting in Oklahoma or Texas? I might be able to help however it does vary by location. The drought affected some specific areas worse than others.

If you can/want to be more specific about your location it's possible I can help.
