Taylor 10 down - 11/08/15 02:56 PM
Got this nice 10 early this morning on my place in NE Taylor County. Haven't seen this buck around before, just 8's and a big 11pt. I knew he wasn't the 11 nor an 8. When it was light enough I could see he was a nice 10. There wasn't much hesitation on the shot. Right at 200 yards the 308 dumped him on a quartering away shot. Love those Hornady SST bullets. They are in rut and really fat.

1st buck I've shot in a long time that isn't busted up. Love that goofy brow tine. Another week and it would have been gone. Now to hunt for the 11
Very nice looking buck!
Congrats

Thanks, measured his inside spread after I dropped him at the processor,,,17". Not too bad and will look good on "The Wall" in my barn. Hope Mule Deer season goes as well in two weeks.
