age/score archer county buck - 11/01/15 04:47 PM

What do y'all think this guy scores and how old is he? He came in for 2 nights a couple of weeks ago, and then my sim card filled up and stopped storing photos. Hopefully, he's still been coming in since then. Thanks folks!

I got 141 but this is my first year on this lease so I'm trying to get a better idea of aging these larger bodied deer. I've hunted almost exclusively in the hill country and these deer are a lot larger than what I'm used to seeing. He's the only mature buck I have on camera, so I've still got a ways to go before I'm familiar enough with these deer to be confident in my aging/scoring. I'm using a base of 80-85" as my mass, spread, beams score and then adding on the tines to get my total field score.

Right around the 140's. His g4 are a little short to carry him much further. I hunt Archer myself.

I used 85 or 90 on the frame in the Hill Country on mature bucks. Here on my place now I use 80-85" on mature bucks. I used 90" on this buck.

I killed a buck a whole lot like this several years ago and he went right at 140, so I think he's around 140. I don't think he's any older that 4.5. Might be 3.5 (imo) By the way, I hunt Archer County as well.
