Need help building a feeder! - 10/06/15 03:38 AM
I need to build a feeder for the Travis County Youth Show and was wondering if you guys have some could dimensions for the feeder. I have a 55 gallon drum and some good steel piping. I was also needing help on what spinner to use and how y'all set that up.
Thanks

If you have coons, use long (10') legs and attach them either to the middle or top of the barrel at a fairly shallow angle, then you don't have to worry about the coons and squirrels getting to the spinner and the pigs can't turn it over. I like the Boss Buck, On Time, and Monarch timers, but I've got one that's been running for almost five years with a cheap Academy digital timer. I usually build my own feed units with generic aluminum spinners.

I have used Magnum feeder units (Timer + Windproof Spinner) for over 10 years. EZ set up, EZ to program snd reliable operation.
I recommend a wire cage around the unit for coon prevention.

Is it easier to attach the barrel so you can easily crank it down to refill?
