Someone told me that you need to have your name and phone number written down on your arrows. Does anyone know if this is true or not?

Used to be the rule when hunting Aransas Wildlife Refuge for archery.

Ha, I didn't start bow hunting till about 2005 or so, but I have never even heard of this before, learn something new every day.

It was known as the "Knick'em Rule"...

Not archery
Edit I did hunt archery and rifle. i hunted archery for one day and said the hell with the skeeters. But that was back when it was a state req too

PITA is right and we occasionally found arrows with info on them in some "unusual" places...

IRRC it was state law in 1989 but went away in 1990. 89 was the first year I bow hunted in Texas so remember it that year.
