Forecast for Breckenridge/Stephens County Area - Deer/Bucks

Does anyone on The Forum have any updates or outlook as it pertains to this area just SW of Breckenridge about 10 miles?

Cooler weather this weekend with some rain. Acorns could start dropping keeping bucks away from feeders. Long term, rut and post rut look promising depending on your land and stand placement. Best hunting is near but not to close to bedding areas that have natural foods and water and cover. Should be a great year for deer as long as your buck/doe ratio is aligned. Try to minimize activity close to feeder and blind in early to mid November. Get those feeders filled in October near enough to travel and bedding areas. Sneak I on foot, no 4 wheelers. I'll normally walk in about a half mile or more, very quiet.

Golf, I am hopeful but the drought over the past years has made it tough. The older bucks that made it through should be quality. I have been seeing good. 3.5 yo bucks. And one monster 12 same buck I almost had a chance at last year

I hear ya loud and clear. We are going out to check the camera Sunday and hopefully will see a good Buck or two on there.
