The does all look pregnant

For the last couple of days I've been coyote hunting. No coyotes, but the deer are all over me, and they do seem to be 'showing'. Bless those horny herd bucks that wander our place. The herd will continue to grow.

We don't have a doe season here in Limestone County, but looks to me that we might need one before too long.

That is a good sign. Hope it keeps raining this spring and into the summer and we could have a really great year for the deer.

Told the wife yesterday, a couple of the older regulars here look a bit "heavier", ready to see the new crop of "kids"

Fingers crossed. We're having a hard time with fawn mortality. We need to take out more varmints I guess.

Good luck getting rid of the varmints. I'm retired and live here on the place, so coyote hunting is just something I do 3 days out of 5. I guess I've been successful in thinning out the coyotes. I sure have shot a bunch of them.
