I have an opportunity to get on a lease about 10 miles northeast of Llano. Anyone know anything about this area

Love that area, your going to have numbers. Depending on the density size may be an issue, but if it is managed well you can grow some decent ones. We just lost our lease about an hour west of there, any other openings?

Hunted NW of Llano for over 20 years. Good numbers of deer, hogs etc. Keep the numbers down and let the little one's grow up and you can have some good deer in 4-5 years.

Sorry, no openings Chuck. We are coming from Fisher county. We probably only seen 3 to 4 doe over the past couple of years. That makes it extremely hard to manage. From what we were told previous hunters feed corn and protein year round and managed the place. Really hope that is the case.

To the OP...
My cousin has 500ac in the area where your talking about. He's had it 20yrs and manages it pretty well. Lots of mid 20 kinda deer with the occasional mid 30s class.....lotsa deer though and a few pigs.
