Tag question....

I'm in a debate right now with fellow hunter. We're in Erath county and as it reads " no more than 2 bucks and no more than 2 anterless deer". Am I reading this right as no more than 2 doe in a season?

Correct. You can only shoot 2 does in Erath county. Pretty clear in the regs.

That's what I've been telling him! Thanks. We USED to be 4 deer, no more than 2 bucks or 4 does. He's an old timer and doesn't like change haha.

There was a time in the state that you could fill all your tags with doe kills.

You still can, just not in every county. Where I hunt, we can shoot 5 deer, no more than 2 bucks.

Erath is a large county. Some places are overrun and others have just enough deer to hunt. I'm glad it's only two doe allowed. Where I'm at we're definitely NOT overpopulated.
