I don't think that there are many Americans that have hunted in Italy. A fair number of use that are military veterans have hunted in Germany. I took a female chamois and several roe deer while stationed there.

I visited Italy last October and saw several people hunting birds. Beautiful country, but when I asked about buying a fine Italian shotgun on the trip I was told that I couldn't. Didn't like that.

I saw gentlemen hunting boar with dogs when we were visiting Tuscany in 2004. One lost dog just stood in the road and my wife wanted to adopt it. Beautiful country. We have to come back.

Michael the Hogs, Varmint & Small Game Hunting forum on this site is where you'll find most of our serious Hog hunters. That's an impressive Hog I'm sure you'll get a lot more dialog there than here.
