The start of something..

I've always tried to do a good job half way managing the place I hunt. Yes I'll admit there was a few deer that probably shouldn't of been shot but they're dead and you can't do anything about it. I've showed y'all pictures of this buck before and had already decided in the summer that I wanted to let this deer walk. I was seeing him quite regularly but hadn't seen him since week one in rifle season. I thought I caught a glimpse of him Thursday morning but wasn't sure. Well this morning I saw him and confirmed it was him and he stayed around and visited. For and hour. 75 yards from the blind and I took this picture of him and let him walk away, sure hope he makes it cause I have big expectations for him

that's a good buck. Yep its hard to let'em walk, but you have to take the chance. We always complain about the neighbors shooting the young ones. My boys told me that if we shoot the young ones, then WE are the neighbors!!

Toughest thing to do is let a good buck walk.
