I'll be leaving Friday. Rut may depend on where your hunting at. My guy in Ks told me last night that things were real slow right now. But, this is the time of the year up there things can bust loose any day now. I'm hoping that day will be Sat or Sun!!!

My dad and one of his buddies were up near Emporia and said there was a lot of chasing and saw some of the better bucks out in the flint hills locked up with a doe already. Dead deer are starting to show up on the highway between there and Whichita.

One of the guys that hunts on our West property has been there since Wednesday (thewrap on here) and he has seen a few shooters and good movement. Rattled in a couple of young ones earlier in his trip.

Looks like I might not be heading out until Friday either

I'm headed out Friday for the 4 day holiday weekend, hunt Saturday through at least Monday morning. Ready. Should be a great time.
