Had a pretty good opening weekend with the family at the ranch unfortunately we didn't get much if any of the rain from Friday.
Spike buck I shot little over 130 lbs estimated 2.5 YO. New 243 out of our new blind worked like a charm.

Killed this guy on the way home. I didn't have a gun and he was crawling into the brush, I picked up two softball size rocks and of course missed with both. He crawled off the road into some grass about 2-3 feet tall. I found a stick on the edge of the road and swatted at the grass till he rattled and I could find him again then used it to drag him into the road and finished him with my pocket knife. Little over 5 foot long and 8 rattles with a button.
Great weekend with the family and cant wait to get back as soon as possible. Rest of my clan is still there hoping they have some luck before they have to head home.
