10 point buck down at 8 am this morning.
I got to the blind a little later then I liked but was set ready to go at 6:30am. I had some golden estrous out and had some amazing results. A you 8 pt came in about 20 minutes into sitting. He ended up coming into about 40 yds. He was a buck that gave me a chance during bow season but I passed.
Today I again passed but he had his nose to the ground searching.
Soon after a few does popped out and where moving. I rattled a little bit I looked up and from about 225 yds stands this big boy. He stood still like a stone for about 5 minutes. I could see his breath. He was facing me. All of a sudden eh star den running to the left in the direction the does went. Then suddenly stopped giving me a perfect shot with my savage 300. I double lunged him and he dropped in the scope.
As I began to fist pump the sky I texted everyone who knows how hard I have been working and said big buck down. I then got out of the blind headed towards my dear and out pops another big deer. Chasing a doe. They were within 50 yards. I chose to pass them then walked up and found this. One of our monster bucks.
Always a good day when you can see horns sticking up.
