Just leased a place between albany and moran. Wondering if there are any trophy deer in that area?

we lease on 576 just west of the weather ball and there are definitely trophies in that area even though numbers are down the past three or four years due to the drought. just do a search on the forum for shackelford county deer and you will get plenty to look at...good luck and if you have any questions about the area, you can definitely get an answer on this forum

Been hunting North of Albany for 20yrs. Had my best season ever. credit it to the class of 2007 fawn crop. Lots of pigs between A & M.

Yes there are big deer there. I have a place about a mile north of Moran and we haven't hunted it in 4 years but we have seen some big deer there just driving around feeding cattle. Lot's of turkeys and pigs too if you are close to a major creek like Hubbard Creek or Deep Creek.
