Have the deer started dropping around Central Texas yet? Killeen/ ft Hood area.

They haven't in Albany...north of you. But I don't even think the ghey critters even rutted this year.

Found two on Friday in Edwards Co. Game cams show most still carrying though. Mid-March is normal.

This afternoon I had 4 bucks and 4 does out in the field and all the bucks had their antlers.

We have shed hunted the last two weekends here west of Goldthwaite and only two fresh sheds were found.

should be real soon for all of them, some are dropping some are not every deer is different. by mid march they should all be off

Spent a couple of hours yesterday looking for sheds. I found 3 but they were all last years. Did find one nice one, I know the deer it came off of and turns out he was a little better than I thought. He was in the 136" neighborhood, I thought about 132". Most of my bucks still have their antlers, I'll look again in a couple of weeks.

Bucks have dropped in SE Kansas, but not South Central Oklahoma yet. Here is a pic of a semi-nice 8 point with g2 kickers. As you can tell, he is still sporting his headgear.

Found 2 smaller sheds in Gillespie Co this weekend. Saw a few bucks that still has one or both on their head.

Of the eight regular bucks visiting our house in Cherokee County, only one has shed. He's our biggest/oldest of the bunch. The little boys, < 3 years, all still have theirs.
