Primos Truthcam 35 is hard to beat for the money. I have 4 of them. My only complaint about them would be that it would be nice if they had better resolution which one can get in the Trutcham 45. 35's are easy enough to find for $80 (Cabellas). 45's usually around $100-120.

I swear by the little cheap TASCO game cams from Wal-Mart. I bought mine for around 80.00 bucks, and Wal-Mart has a pretty good return policy as well.

Moultrie M80 is awesome for the price. Our lease now has 6 of them, great pictures and good battery life.

Stay away from Stealthcam, nothing but bad luck with them.

Re: Good Cheap Game Cam?? - 12/13/11 09:55 PM

x2 on this question. Ive been through 3 cams in the last 3 months. 2 of the wild game innovation 8.0 mp IR cams that just quit taking pictures unless the animal is within 10 feet, and one stealth cam rouge IR that took pictures for 10 days and now wont take one at all. Im fed up with the junk and considering buying a cuddeback

Re: Good Cheap Game Cam?? - 12/13/11 10:04 PM

Good and cheap do not go together at all. I have switched from Cuddebacks to Spypoint and am liking the change so far. Spypoint is taking more pics by a 2 to 1 margin right now. Also trying out a PrimosTruth 35 cam right now. Cuddebacks service sucks and their new cameras are a joke.

I am running 3 truth cam 35's. Last week the date reset on one of them. That is the only trouble I have had. 4 months and I am still using the same set of batteries.

Re: Good Cheap Game Cam?? - 12/14/11 08:29 PM

First off, there is no such thing as a "good, cheap game cam."

But IMO, the Moultire M80 is a great camera, and won't totally break-the-bank.

Re: Good Cheap Game Cam?? - 12/15/11 03:26 AM

I'm a "small-time" hunter so the Primos 60 is my choice. I put some junk batteries in it and it's taken at least 2,000 pictures in a few weeks and still going. I don't need lightening trigger speed or even a video feed so it's my choice. I'd buy another one.

X2 I have been running spypoints for a year now and they have taken a ton of pictures. Heat doesn't bother them, they just keep snapping. Now I own 3 of them. I have tries stealth, moultrie, leaf river in the last 6 years and have never had a camera that performs the way this thing does. Plus the update the firmwear all the time, you just transfer the new firmware to the camera and it gets better all them time.

Highly recommended.

Re: Good Cheap Game Cam?? - 12/15/11 12:11 PM

They are right about good and cheap not going together. I bought a $60 cam at Wal-Mart and all it did was take pictures of deer that weren't there!

Here is an example of a deer that is not in my freezer.

Re: Good Cheap Game Cam?? - 12/15/11 02:05 PM

Good Cheap Game Cam is a perfect example of an oxy moron...

Stay away from anything that mentions the words StealthCam...Junk is all that they are. Ive wasted my $ on 2 of them and will never buy another.

I had an old school Moultrie that took 6v feeder batteries a few years back and that was the best camera. it was reliable but crap it did take a lot of pics of nothing.

I recently switched over to the Bushnell Trophy Cams. Best camera out there other than Reconyx, but who can afford those...

Dont skimp out on a few dollars just for the cam. Look around on the net and you can find new BTC's for $140. I cant speak for the TruthCams as I only use BTC's now.

Re: Good Cheap Game Cam?? - 12/17/11 05:04 PM

I had # of moultire M-40 for years and they provided good pic but had a # of whiteouts. "Upgraded" to Bushnell Trophy before deer season and they are ok for daytime, but at night and dawn/dusk the pictures are in most instances worthless. During trip to WalMart saw a Wildgame N2 for $59. Thought it can't be worse than Bushnell stuff so bought it. Great pics and C batt work just fine. Soooo, now have total of 5 of the N2 on my lease and IMHO cheep and good is a Wildgame N2.
