Sum total of my season, 2 yearlings, 2 doe, 1 small buck. Couldn't get a shot @ anything but 1 of the yearlings. Contrary to popular beliefs, we don't shoot everything that walks by. Now I have to wait to muzzleloader season to try again. Buck huntin till then is not worth the time or effort. Such is life.

They've put a hurtin' on bucks down river.. they killed a lot the last 2 weeks of Oct running does. Main rut down there tends to not match up with rifle season.

During bow season in late Oct, I saw 3 mature bucks that I couldn't shoot because they were 12.5"!!! I think I saw 3 does but couldn't get a shot!!! Hoping for a better Dec!!! I will be hunting every day I can just in case there is another buck in Tyler County with a 13" spread!!!
