Anyone seen or used this? Sorry if it's been talked about and I missed it. Cheaper and goes further, supposedly! Corn flavored mystery mixture!

its a 9% corn /protein pellet. 9% protein i think. Better for them than corn.

$5.99 per 31.6 lbs at Academy. Doesn't seem like a great deal. I think I'll wait to hear some actual reports on how well it works & how its running through the feeders. 2cents

Think of it as flex fuel for deer. I tried it last year, derr/cows/sheep seemed to like it.

I tried some 2 years ago and wasn't very impressed. Everything seemed to eat it ok (no more than corn) but I had alot of trouble with it clogging up my feeders b/c it seemed pretty light.

Re: Flex Corn? - 08/12/11 04:10 PM

According to a rep i talked to at a feed expo, flex corn is just left overs or something from fuel companies that use the genetically altered corn to make the ethanol flex fuel. The only difference is the starch levels are higher. I say if it is cheaper than regular corn why not buy it up while it is available.

We had about 50 sacks 2or3 years ago we fought cloged up feeders all season long we gave what we had left to my brother and he fed it to his pigs so i will stick to good old corn just my 2 cents and good luck.

Cows and donkeys love it.

Re: Flex Corn? - 08/13/11 02:20 AM

Stay away that stuff is crap. As mentioned above it clogs feeders and the bag is 31 lbs so its not a deal. A buddy of mine used it a couple years back and we couldnt even get the hogs to eat it. Pure trash!

Sounds like something Obama inspired. Another change that isn't worth a darn!
