WTB. Ithaca model 49 single shot lever action 22

I am looking for one these for a starter for my grandchild

Those are getting harder to find everyday. But you might also open it up to a Steven’s Crackshot, Favorite or the Little Scout. They were labeled as boys rifles, and still have the same action as the Ithaca.
They are all good shooters and pretty reasonable.

There was a 49 that sold last week for $120 in an auction.

I used to see them at pawn shops all time . I was hoping for one of these because she will grow into a marlin 39 or a Winchester 9422 that I have for her to pick from.

I think there was one at 380 Pawn in Princeton the other day.

It was beat up and they wanted a ridiculous price for it. I didn't look at it too close. But it might be what you're looking for.

Dad bought me an Ithaca 49 when I was a teenager back in the 70’s. I left it in Dad’s pickup one night and it was stolen.

I have a Ted Williams /Sears and Roebuck 340.530430 made by Ithaca, model 49 variant. Interested?
