Has anybody purchased one of these lately? Or any Polaris UTV for that matter? Just curious if everyone is getting screwed on their "freight and assembly" charges, or is it just me.

I got quotes from a couple dealers in the DFW area for $2500 range. Luckily we found a very low hour used one.

The freight charges is typically determined by distance from manufacturing facility. The poor bastards in California pay around $1200 for a RZR while in Texas we pay about $400, Ohio pays like $150. The assembly fee is up too each individual dealer, but I’ve never seen more that a few hundred for that.

We bought a new XP1000, in September from Four Wheels of Texas, Ft. Worth. We paid MSRP, $17,399.00. No freight or assembly. Just sales tax and a $50.00 title fee. 0% for six months, $1000.00 rebate and double the factory warranty. So, that's actually less than MSRP. I really liked doing business with this place. They have a location in Decatur also. I took it there for the first service for convenience, sometimes I pass through there on business. Got it out overnight. I'm not sure, but I think they're one of the oldest Polaris dealers around.

Call around. The demand for recreational vehicles is unprecedented, been that way since the Vid and the government handing out free money. Dealers can't keep them in stock, and since they can't do "market adjustments" they're making up for it with absurd freight and setup feees.

I've had better luck getting quotes from OK dealers. Antler's Motorsports is one that advertises Out The Door prices without all the setup BS. A day of driving could save you a couple thousand bucks. Starwood Motorsports in Ardmore offered to deliver one to my house in McKinney.
