F150 LEVELING KIT - 09/18/18 05:54 PM

Anyone recommend a good shop that's reasonable to install leveling kit on 2017 F150? Preferably in Weatherford/Mineral Wells/Ft Worth area.
Thanks

Truck toys, 4 wheel parts. Just a simple leveling kit is relatively easy and inexpensive. Make sure to get an alignment afterwards

Yeah, I've done my last 8 leveling kits on my trucks. This is my first ford and little hesitant about the IWE's. If it were GM or Ram, then no sweat. Hoping someone might have experience and do it on the side for a reasonable amount. Four wheel parts wants $580. That's crazy IMO..

My neighbor did it to his... I supervised a little. There’s probably a YouTube video ( I’ll go look) but, there’s something with the 4wd or ABS that was a little trickey.

The kit my neighbor used is VERY different.

This is a good video, the guy has definantly done this job a few times.

If you want my help, watch the video and send me a PM.

use the bilstien 5100s and take it to any mechanic with good rep. Do alignment after. Not a fan of the puck spacers

Well that's the deal, 2 of 3 mechanics I talked with weren't even familiar with IWE's. I've done multiple leveling kits, just never a ford. Ive heard many bad scenarios due to leveling kits and lack of knowledge on the IWE's with the F150. I've had bilsteins and wasnt impressed. If I were going more than a puck, it would be fox coilovers.

I'd say worth every penny!

We just installed one on a 2017 Platinum. It was a real PIA,and took a lot longer than we thought it would. I've installed lift kits and leveling kits on all kinds of trucks with leaf spring and coil spring suspension's over the years, but the struts on this truck sucked. We ended up dropping the lower A frames off the truck in order to install the struts with the leveling kit on them.

I'll never do another one!

Call Mike's Off Road on 121 and Carson. They are good and fair priced.

I put Rancho Quicklift 2" kit with RS9000XL adjustable shocks on 2017 GMC. Installed and out the door was $450. Took the shop a couple hours then I took it and had the front realigned. I'm happy with the outcome.

I put Bilstein 6100 coilovers on my Tundra. Not hard if you have a little knowledge. No way was I using spacers. I know the Foxes are better but for what I use it for the 6100s are a good upgrade.
