Need help on new UTV tires

Need help on new UTV tires - 02/08/18 03:01 PM

I've got an old 2006 mule that needs new tires. I just moved to East Texas and almost all of the land that I will be using it on is sand. No rocks at all but some mud when it rains. So, I'm used to West Texas rocks and don't know what I should buy for sand.

Since no one replied to you, i'll play. I have an 06 trans mule that I put the Essex surefoot 25" tires on. I mainly hunt in Freestone county that has a ton of sand on our place along with one muddy swamp crossing. I really like these tires in the mud, and although they perform well in the sand, they do tend to leave their footprint. I've been really pleased with them in everything I've put them through.

Does anybody know anything about Kenda Bearclaw 299. I called Discount tire and asked if they would match Sam's price and they beat it by $6.78. Tire and mounting would be $70 each.

Sounds high for mounting.

We have the Essex and have had no issues so far.

I bought Bear-claw from Discount Tire. The mule recommended tire size is 24-10-10, this mule had 26-10-12. So I put 25-10-12. I run mostly in sand and mud and will let you know how they work out. $70 plus tax each.
