Oil change pro mule dx - 12/16/17 09:39 PM

Working on my 20 hour service on pro mule dx(diesel). Found the oil filter, looks like easiest way to change would be to remove the skid plate. Anybody else done this yet on they’re pro mule dx?

Thanks

If it’s like the Teryx, 4 short bolts removes the skid plate, only way to do it.

20 hours? Dangit, I need to read the owners manual. I bet I'm almost there, as much as I use mine.

Amazon the best place to get the filters/ fluids?

I was able to get mine out with one of these:

I had the brush guard added to mine, and I am still trying to figure out the easiest way to get to the front differential so I can change the gear oil out. nidea

I resorted to channel lok pliers this time to remove oil filter. Had to remove brush guard to get to front diff fill plug. Skipped trans fluid change, don’t have an Allen wrench big enough to fit fill plug. I think it’s 14mm.

I bought my filters and gear lube at the tractor/Kawasaki dealer in Fredericksburg. Picked up a gallon of Rotella 5-40 synthetic at Wally World. $90 total for parts. Will still need to take in for valve adjustment
