That blood streak on mine, was going from the wound to his back.... when I got to him, he was on his back, antlers in the ground, feet in the air.... never saw one land like that, figure he face planted just behind the mesquites.
I rattled and grunted him in for a 140 yard shot just before dark, from originally seeing him at about 750 yards away

At least someone is seeing some mature deer up there. I saw nary a one out of two weeks of hard hunting. Congrats to you and the mrs.
