Father in law got him one

We've been hunting this place for 4 years now. Not everyone shooting a buck every year. First year he shot a doe and my oldest son shot his first anything being a nice buck. Second year my youngest son shot his first anything also being a nice buck. 3rd year I shot one. This was his year for a buck. We saw 3 does first thing. About 9 a doe came out with a small buck keeping tabs on her. They went back in the woods. We were going to call it at 10 but those two made us push it to 1030. At 935 he comes cruising through. I got him to stop and boom. Knew he hit him. He ran maybe 40 yards into the woods. He said this biggest he's shot in all his years of hunting. 12 points 16 inch spread. Savage Model 12 bull barrel in 6.5 CM topped with Leupold shooting Hornady precision hunter ammo.
