Literally 20 lbs every 3 weeks, 36 dollars a bag. Mainly Yellow and red finches. Dove on ground and a red headed wood pecker.

We call them all democrats.

Hen Scratch works well for our birds at $12 to $14 for a 50lb bag. But we have chickens so al=ways have scratch anyway.

We've had lots of cardinals, gold finches, several different sparrows, blue jays, doves, juncos, crows, a few squirrels, and a pair of hawks hanging around...fun to watch!

50 lbs of wild bird feed a week plus raw peanuts for the jays and squirrels.

I keep corn and milo in mine. They hadn't been going to it much until yesterday. Now they are really getting after it. Up until now I've only gotten a few crows, two ringneck doves and a pair of cardinals. Coyotes come eat the corn sometimes. one day I had a huge bunch of grackles but they never came back, thankfully.

I fed them last year during the big freeze. They were dropping dead on the front porch. frown

I could skillet shoot the doves down at my feeder. Literally 30-40 at a time along with all the other species.

I have some cornbread with a little oil on it out here at the house but no takers.
