Best Season Yet! - 01/01/22 02:44 PM
Hey guys! Newbie here
Me and my boys have had the greatest season (weekend) so far! For starters i was able to take a nice doe in bow season and my youngest was able to take his first buck (spike). So it was already a good season, now the fun part really starts! Nov 12th i decided to let my step son skip school to hit the stand and we had deer every where on us. A young 8pt decided to make an appearance and found himself table fare . For his first "trophy" he got to decide which one he wanted since the kids helped work the property as well. Greatest moment ever.. or so i thought.. Now to the evening hunt of the same day. Youngest had his deer and other son hasn't made it back home yet, so i decide to go sit a different property. No feeder or cameras on this one, just an open field with a creek through it. Thirty minutes left of light and i look up to a monster buck staring me down, instantly i knew he was "my deer". Tacked on to greatest moment ever...or so i thought again.... Now to the 14th when my oldest son comes home. He's pretty butt hurt we have two deer down already so he gears up four am Sunday to get his! We hit the stand about a hour before light, already had deer in the field. There was another big big buck that walked through but just couldn't find him in the scope due to light. About 20 minutes pass and now we can see, so i start hitting the horns very aggressively in hopes to draw that one buck back. Nope, but a different buck came storming out. He lined up and dropped him in the spot. That is my greatest weekend and a memory that will last a lifetime My personal best (16pt) and both my kids FIRST trophy bucks all in one weekend! 8, 10 and 16 pt
