just another snake

my dad and i found this snake while cleaning out our barn… i’ve personally never seen one this white! he was also one of the most well tempered snake i have ever held!

Looks like a coachwhip. But they are normally mean as heck.

A good one to release! I agree with the abnormal light coloring, his eyes don’t look like he’s about to shed either.

Coachwhips love barns. I saw one in mine just the other day as he slithered across the top of boot at about 15MPH.

As with most animals, domesticated or wild, the disposition of the handler often dictates the experience, good or bad. Good job with the snake.

Cool find. Those coachwhips are quick little boogers and hard to catch.

Great looking coachwhip. I've got some big ones and love to watch them. They are fast as hell and great hunters. I love watching them check gopher holes. lol

And with or without gloves, I aint doin' that! But you go girl. lol

Coach Whip = Greased Lighting

And can be quite aggressive. Years ago one of my friends was hunting rattlers and a big Coach Whip came out of the den, he grabbed it and it grabbed him. He ended up having to have a Cornea transplant. I'll catch and handle a rattler before I mess with a Coach Whip, they bite me every damn time.

my dad caught him, it was a funny chase but once he laid hands on him the snake was pretty docile towards us.
