Most of the southern panhandle seems like it would make great habitat for them. Kinda surprised we have never seen them on the Pitchfork.

I've seen one run over in Kent county and know people who have them in Fisher county so I bet they will be there before too long.

What part of stonewall county are you in? My lease is next door in the SW corner of Haskell county.

We share a fencline and the ranch cowboy at our place said he has seen 3 or 4 on our property. I have no reason to doubt him.

You left your gate open last year in November when you were there hunting. As I was driving by I drove in and dumped them out. I was on my way up to hunt at Matador and seen your gate sign peep

have seen one in northern callahan and they saw one across the road from our lease in southern shackelford. I believe they are protected in quite a few counties in texas

They're all over the Waggoner. But they had them hauled in decades ago to help with prickly pear control. They may have spread from there. There's a lot of country they don't exist in between South Texas or the Trans Pecos and there.

About 10 years ago I saw a group of 5 cross Hwy 87 just outside of Tahoka. Thought I was seeing things at first.
