Missing my lab, Memorial Thread

Missing my lab, Memorial Thread - 07/12/21 05:40 AM

So I lost my girl SIF to a tumor and it broke my heart as she laid in my lap and passed away. I've had several labs during my life, all of them were great dogs and bring back many memories of hunting with my friends, kids and now my grandkids. However, when I look at her pictures they bring tears to my eyes, I miss her the most of all of them. Maybe it's because I'm older and she died so young, all of my other labs had long full lives. I'm at a point in my life now I don't want to start a pup and I don't think I could replace her anyway.

I'm sure that many of you have had a lab that was the best of the best, so how about we start a memorial thread for those labs that have gone before us that will never be forgotten!

Sorry for the loss of your pup, especial at such a young age. We have a rescue Yellow Lab of unknown age, that we have had for 5 years that is white in her face. She is at least 8 or 9 years old and on pain and anti inflammatory meds but is still enjoying life. It will hurt so bad to loose her, my wife will be a total wreck when it happens.

BOGO,, we went for 1 and came back with 2, hence the name BOGO ( Buy one get one 1/2 off) passed away at 1 year old. Have her sister and my trainer has another one of her sisters from the litter. She was a sweet dog.

Sorry for you loss man, I feel your pain.

I'm certain I'll get another lab, but doubt I'll ever have another companion like Dakota.

Oh and yes I picked up my hulls by the tank.

Very sorry. I have only owned labs over 45 years of marriage. We are on our fourth. I don't know that I'll have it in me to bring another into my life after this one. We call him Jeb the Wonder Dog.
