Apparently the rabbit population was a problem in 1913 in the Rowena Texas area.. There were also rabbit drives like this in the early 1950's, my job then was sitting, in my grandpa's pickup.

IIRC, 11 or 12 jackrabbits will eat what a cow does in a day's time.

There are a few videos on You tube of folks herding up the rabbits back then. Most of them just used clubs.

we did one in the early 50's, North of Kalvesta, Ks. they were destroying the wheat crop
