CREEK FISHING GRAND FINALE - 04/03/21 10:11 PM
I have fished every day for the last week except for one day and it concluded with another incredible trip this morning! My best estimate is I have probably caught around 450-500 fish over the last 6 days and its been a blast! Probably the most fish I have caught in any given 6 day period in my life.
I got started this morning before daylight and walked to my spot on the creek in the dark without even a flashlight. Im use to that during deer season but its a little different feeling without a rifle slung over your shoulder. I got to my spot right at daybreak and on my third cast I was hooked up and the action pretty much never stopped after that. They were a bit more picky today than yesterday but once I got it figured out I filled my stringer pretty quick.
Never found the Hybrids today but found countless Sandbass and even a few Channel Cats that decided to make my lure its last meal. I quit keeping them when I thought I had my limit but it turned out I was 3 short of a limit and that was OK by me. Once I started the hike back to the truck I was reminded why I never keep so many fish! A nearly 2 mile hike with dang near a limit of fish slung over your shoulder will test your endurance for sure!
I will probably let the fish celebrate Easter in peace tomorrow so that concludes my week of fun. Tomorrow its back to the boring stuff in life. But if boring stuff gets completed a little early I might go pick on the fishy's in the afternoon.
