Congrats on the find. I killed my first 20 plus deer with different Model 99's. My grandad was a big fan of them and left them to me. I have all of them but the .308 which he never bought.

My dad had my grandpa's 300 model 99. I always thought it'd be mine one day but somehow my younger brother managed to swindle it out from under me.
It is still a very sore subject for me because he doesn't even hunt or shoot and my son is the only blood great grandson and my boy is a big gun & shooting enthusiast.
