Lion Hunt - 03/05/21 02:38 AM
While Texas was in a deep freeze I was in Idaho along the Salmon river as it winds through the Payette National Forest on a mountain lion hunt. In an unbelievable stroke of luck I was in camp with a photographer named Sam Averett who took some amazing photos for the outfitter. Sam was gracious enough to share his photos with me. He also created this video for Wilderness Mule Outfitting, the outfitter I used https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYc68vNjc-k
This video was put together from my hunt, like Ol' Waylon said "they keep showing my hands but not my face on TV" because they didn't want to ruin the fantastic scenery! It took over two hours on snowmobile to get to camp and about 20 minutes to fly out. Got the lion on day 3.
