Dual pond project

Dual pond project - 01/09/21 06:41 PM

We dug two ponds this week for a customer that borders the King Ranch. I don't have any pictures of the smaller pond yet that was dug to build his house pad. Ill get more pictures this week. This pond is going to be his larger fishing pond.

Beautiful pond construction. Is that also Bentonite lined, or just Bentonite clay mixed, or one of the new concrete powder mixes? We did a series of new settling ponds at work, and because of the porosity of the ground, it required several inches of Sodium Bentonite underneath the top soil before filling. Makes for a really expensive pond!

Some beautiful dirt work. A lot of hours of machine work. Something like that doesn't come cheap.

Looks great up

I could not locate the spillway or where the water shed feeds into it. Red arrow is pointing to where I am guessing the water will enter confused2

About 10 feet deep and about an acre surface area?

They need to put some good structure in there for fishes. Man if i had my dithers to build a pond to my specs, i wluld have a lot of fun!

No sir you would not want to ruin that mans water and soil around it forever.
The stench would be so horrific that you would not be able to breathe the air around it for miles, it would kill all life plant and animal except for maybe Leeches and other undesirable things.
