Madison Had a Successful Trip to Chalk Creek - 12/31/20 02:17 AM

Made a short drive to Junction, ole Mike had them figured out. We arrived on the ranch seeing a lot of animals. After arriving at the cabin we chatted for a little bit then off to the blind. Within 20 mins we had animals showing up. We watched blackbucks and WT. After a while Madison informed us oryx were on the way. Dang this kid has a great eye. We had 9 come into the hay and after a short discussion we decided to go ahead and take the 1 cow in the group. Got Madison all settled in on her .243 and she settled the crosshairs on the mark. Trigger broke and she made a great lung/heart shot. We watched as she ran off and fell within sight of the blind! Hunt was over and Madison was ready to get her hands on her last trophy for 2020! Can’t thank Chalk Creek for making this great hunt happen.

An awesome trophy. I got to see Oryx, including several calves, when I hunted South Africa in 2004. The drought had really hit them and all of the wildlife hard.
