I have only shot one. It was not good. Don't know if it was due to my field dressing it or my wife's cooking it...I think the answer would be determined by the proximity of my wife, but I've never had an opportunity to shoot another. I had intended to mount the sucker too but one day when she was taking stuff out of the freezer to cook she "accidentally" left my boar's head out....yeah we won't mention that with her around again either. I learned my lesson.

I've eaten allot of Javi's, clean them properly and they're fine eating.
