Is he really old or just huge in body?

My son missed this deer last year after watching him for 10 or 15 minutes following a doe, he would never present a good shot and when he finally did the shot was low. Went and pulled the camera stick this weekend and he got his picture taken again a week ago, he looks exactly the same except his neck is even bigger. No antler improvement and body looks the same as well. I have him at 7 maybe 8 based on body size in this area but no history other than last year.

I would call him 5 last year and 6 this year based off of those pics. He is posturing in this years pic and it makes him look much older. Need more pics from this year to be able to tell more about him.
