It wasn't a long hunt but it was at least productive.

I had a buddy out for the opener. We had a great hunt until a front blew in and put a bunch of dust in the air. I managed 18 with ten of them being collards. My dog had a blast and thats what counts.

Great job. When I had my dogs watching them work was the best part. It got to the point when duck hunting that I really only hunted for the dogs and would give the birds away if I could find someone that wanted them.

I got my 15, but didn't see any collared doves. I could have used your dog. Several fell across the fence behind me, and I had to either squeeze through or go around quite a bit. I was done by 8:00 am. Best opening day I've had in years.
