This is my target buck on Ft Hood this year. 6x5 with kickers and plenty wide. Ready to see what he will look like hard horned.

heck of buck for that area - I owned a ranch for 5 years about a mile from Ft Hood - the native deer back then were typical Hill Country deer - good luck on getting him - you cannot bait at all out there can you? no corn unless hand placed?

Most unguided areas allows stands and feeders they just have to be marked with your name, location and phone number. I’ve been feeding protein and corn for a long time

glad to see there are still some bruisers on Ft. Hood!!! I used to ride my dirt bike out there when most areas were fully open, just park & ride. I don't think they allowed hunting back then ('70s-'80s) and we would frequently spook up some hellacious deer. up
