Got the call and went to pick up the 2019 buck today. Turned out pretty nice- I tried a new taxidermist and he had it back in 7 months. Much better than the one that still has my 2017 buck...

Thanks, all. His antlers are darker than most I've seen out here. I really wasn't going to shoot one last year, but this guy showed up 2 days before Xmas and I couldn't resist. It's strange how that works, but I had never seen this buck before and I spend a lot of time looking at them. He wasn't on any cameras anywhere around that I know of. Shot him with my Ruger American Predator in 6.5 Creedmor with 140 grain Fusion factory loads.
I like that pose-what a great mount! Congrats on your 2019 trophy!

That's a beautiful deer. I had a similar experience once. Took 3 years but I finally got my deer back. He did a great job but, he won't get any more deer from me.
