Need help identifying this. Trying to determine if it’s a bobcat or a mountain lion.
Pic was taken in Lagrange Texas .

Do you have the original pic that isn’t cropped?

Actually nvm, it is a bobcat, look at the tail. I lightened you the pic so you can see it.

I’m not exactly sure what he is referring to but this may be somewhat of a guide.

Mountain lions can travel over a very broad range. I have seen one in Cooke county. Not exactly mountain lion country.

I've seen one here in Grayson county but I'm kind of surprised it's listed as a confirmed sighting county.

My neighbor has one on her game camera. She's gotten pics on several occasions. In addition to seeing one I've heard one a couple of times at the house. It's true what is said about their scream. If you hear one it will raise the hair on the back of your neck.

Ty for the response
The size is what confused me. It seemed a bit large for a bobcat. Also we have lots of mountain lion sightings in my area. So I wasn’t sure .

I agree.
We aren’t mountain lion territory but we have lots of big ranches out here n we have pics on game cameras that confirm they are around.

Neck shoulder and head look to be bigger than a bobcat.
