Any thoughts on this weirdo?

Pretty interesting coat on this deer. Way more pronounced than anything I’ve seen before. Any ideas what’s going on?

I was thinking it was a shadow my the first picture but then looking at the next one it doesn’t appear to be. Really strange.

Yes it’s not a shadow, that’s just what he looks like. I’ve seen other deer that are similar but not nearly as drastic of a color difference.

Another victim of COVID-19. The salons have finally opened but the appointments are so backed up it’s hard to get in to freshen up the color and highlights. Obvious do it yourself job gone wrong.

Looks like it is still in transition from its winter coat to its summer coat.

Nothing strange just shedding the dead winter coat and slicking off the gray.

Hasn’t changed much in the two few weeks. Still sporting the whitetail tuxedo.....side note, porcupines love protein.

It's a Democrat, been stick it's head in the sand.

That is a Management Deer! Looks to have been walking around with head poked up a dark area!

Maybe also be called rectal-cranial syndrome common to some that are not fully informed, but fully impowered.

That is interesting. I agree, winter coat.

Like others have posted, he is shedding his winter coat. It could possibly be an internal parasite issue also with him not slicking off in a short 3 or so day period. Seen them look like that when they have parasites in late spring.

Backstrap will taste the same regardless.....
