I didn’t even measure him till the taxidermist said he thought he may hit 140. I thought no way so measured him. Those main beams are really long. Very unique deer.

good looking buck, especially for Fort Hood from what I've seen. We used to ride dirt bikes (1970-1990s) and saw some studs down on the south part that we kicked out flying thru the trails. I don't think hunting was allowed back then, at least not down to the south.

Hunting especially WT has come a long way on Ft Hood. They kill around 10 or more deer in the 150s every year out there. I am a volunteer deer guide in an area and we killed 4 deer bigger than mine. 162 in was the biggest. We had an exceptional yr.
