Just born Kids

They were born this afternoon. One is quite a bit larger than the other. The small one is very weak. I went ahead and took it and will try to bottle it. If I left it with the mother it would not make it being the other one is so much larger and stronger. It may not make it with me bottling it but it will have a better chance.

It's a she. Fed her every 3 hours during the night. Starting to take the bottle pretty good. Can now get up by herself. She may just make it. I am too old for this and I need my sleep so if she makes it through this week she will be on Wildlife Buyer for someone else to raise.

Keep the faith. They are tough little creatures.

Cute little fella

Had another that was weak. After a couple of days got better and sold both of them. I need my nights sleep and 2 months of getting up a couple of times each night is too much. Have 13 alive so far so it is turning into a pretty good year. Was kind of worried after the first two born were dead.

$620 each. Around $125 per pound. Pretty expensive eating.

$5000 for this one comes out to around $34 per pound. Probably on a par with Aoudad as for eating.
