These dudes are tough

Little Sapper shot this dude back at the beginning of January. He ran off never to be found that day. He started showing back up on my game cams at all times of the day and night which made it pretty easy to pattern him. He was in rough shape but apparently still hungry. He was very thin and his back bone was very apparent. It was time to finish him once and for all.

Little man wasn’t happy when we couldn’t find that hog. Knew he hit him and video looked like a good shot but slightly quartered towards us. Glad you were able to finish him off.

OK, I'll bite. What did Little Sapper shoot him with and where did he originally hit him at? I've not found them to be any tougher than a whitetail in my history...A well placed shot from a decent size caliber, .243 and up usually puts them down pretty quickly..I've shot and killed probably 50+ in my years of hunting.

He shot him with my 6.8 same gun he has killed multiple other hogs and deer with. Stand is high above feeder and hog was quartering towards us. I believe he just hit high and missed the vitals. Hog ran off and stopped and was limping badly but at an angle where we couldn’t get a follow up shot.

Their shoulder blades are a helluva lot tougher than a whitetail.

Only that one that is closest to the brush line. It allows the quail to get in and out of there easier. I feed corn and milo in my feeders.

As big as thoes cutters are he'd make a super euro mount. Doing a hog skull is much eaiser than a deer.
