I am the land owner and I think that golden retrievers RETRIEVE. English pointers, point. Deer smell. Got it??

Ok, a dog expert I am not since all I've ever had is mutts, but geez, lighten up dude. I think folks got the gist of the intended joke.

Ag Hunter, A "pointing" deer would have one of his front hoofs off the ground and his tail straight out.....you MUST pay attention to the little details .BTY, I am class of 1957 (Ever hear of Bear Bryant??)
and I own a Dual Champion Labrador Retriever. GIGEM AG'S.

Re: Smells Great - 02/08/20 05:25 AM

No problem DG. As a retired math teacher, I do pay attention to little details, but hunting dogs are out of my sphere of expertise. Didn't mean to ruffle your feathers in my attempt to make the deer analogous to a pointing dog. Anyway, Bear was long before my time, but I am very aware of his time at A&M, the training at Junction, etc. I used to work for an Ag who was the backfield mate of John David Crow.
