My New Safe!!

So I did a thing on Saturday. Was at the Field and Stream Store in Prosper looking for Christmas presents. They had a good sale on many things. 20% off all ammo, $20 off all regular priced guns under $300. Picked up Blazer 22lr 500rnd box for $14 and some change. And then there was this monster. 57gun plus 8 on the door with a light kit and power plug. It was priced at $1699.00. But I took it home for $950 plus tax. Qualified for credit terms, so I went with 12 months no interest. Once I sell my other safe and gun cabinet, it will only cost me $550.00.

Had to put it in the garage, due to there was no way to get it inside my house. Yes that is a side x side refrigerator next to it!

I cracked up when I read this sentence.

“Once I sell my other safe and gun cabinet, it will only cost me $550.00”

I use that same line on my wife when I buy a new gun, scope, bow or hunting equipment. I say, the gun is $800.00 and I’ll sell my other gun on the hunting forum for 600.00, so net/net it’s only costing us $200.00. Months later she’ll ask if I sold the other gun and I’ll tell her that everyone on the forum low balled me so I just kept the gun. I think she’s figured out my MO.

Well so the store associate came and opened it for us to look at, scanned it with his little device and said hey this is on sale for $999. Then added you can apply for credit and get 12 months 0 interest and get an additional $50 off.
Best part is, my girlfriend was the one that convinced me to do it. Looked online and they are listed at 1099.99 now.

As far as moving it, the store employees help me load it into my truck. By the way, RAM 1500's do like that weight in the back of it. Then my neighbors and dad helped me unload it and move it to the garage with an appliance dolly. Wasn't easy,but got it done.
