Took my dad to hunt exotics for the first time

took my dad few months ago for his birthday neither of us had ever hunted exotics before, we both shot a Axis doe on the first day on our trip. Few months later I went back and shot a management blackbuck who broke off part of one of his horns, I think we are both hooked!

I'm sure you have discovered by now how good axis meat is - especially off a doe. While you don't have any axis horns for the wall I hope you sent the hides off to be tanned. They are beautiful rugs or decorations & definitely conversation pieces. In this case a nice keep sake for your dad!

Yes sir both the blackbuck and axis taste amazing! We went through most the axis fast I have brought some to work and everyone has begged for more, much better than whitetail!
We did send the hides off tanned can’t wait to see how they come out!
